Posted July 29th 2010- Announcing Goody's 2010 - 2011 Big Bass Tournaments. Oct. 16 & 30, Nov 13 & 27, Dec 11 - North Landing River at West Landing Marina. Jan 1, 15, & 29, Feb 12 & 26, Mar 5 & 19 - Northwest River at Bob's Fishing Hole. $10 per participant. 90% payout. 10% holdback paid to participant with biggest bass of the series. Posted July 10 2010- We held our July tournament today on the North Landing River. Mark & Bob were the winners with 10.0 lbs. Ronnie & Chandler finished 2nd and had big fish with 8.2lbs and 3.0 lbs respectively. Sean & Mike took 3rd with 7.12lbs...Nelson & David also had 7.12lbs but the tie for third was broken by big fish. Congrats to all the winners! Sorry, no pics due to the heavy rain at weigh-in. Posted June 13 2010- Saturday proved to be a tough day of fishing on the North River. This tournament produced our lowest aggregate club tourney weight year to date. The report was most threw the kitchen sink at them to catch their fish, and several teams still managed a pretty nice day. Back in the winners circle were Nelson Anderson & David Dozier with 9.8 lbs. Second place went to Jeremy Gatewood & Joe Glazebrook with 8.8 lbs. Third place and still the seasons top team, were Dale Waggoner & Todd Starks. Mark Ingram had the lunker with his 2.10 fish. Congrats to all the winners!!! Thanks to Jim for handling the tourney director duties, to Mark & Bob for another professional weigh-in, to Sid for lending us his canopy, and to all those who looked to assist them or other club members with launching or recovery.
Posted 09 May 2010- Our May tournament on the Northwest River proved to be the toughest for the club this season. Many teams struggled to locate quality fish, while reporting large numbers of short fish being caught. However, as always, a couple teams figured them out. Taking 1st Place & lunker was Sean & Mike with 10.12lbs & 4.0lbs. Second place went to John Goodman with 10.0 lbs, and 3rd place to Jim & Tom with 7.14 lbs. Congrats to all the winners!!! Dale & Todd continue to hold onto 1st place for the year. Thanks to Sid for a great job as Tournament Director!
Posted 11 April 2010- Bayside Fishing Center was the clubs top choice for places to fish this season. It's easy to understand why, the fishing center staff goes out of their way to accommodate us with outstanding hospitality. Not to mention the fishing in Pembroke Creek and Edenton Bay always seems to produce. The heavy rains on Friday mucked up the water and made things tough, most of those who reported decent numbers found clearer water. The report was spinners, jigs, cranks, and topwater accounted for most of the fish. Congrats to Ronnie & Chandler for taking 1st place with 11.4 lbs. Second place & lunker went to Daniel & Jason with 10.4 lbs & 3.8lbs. Third place was John & Jeremy with 10.4 lbs as well. We only had five teams with a limit and three other teams with four. Dale & Todd held onto their team lead with a slight edge over Mark & Bob. Congrats to all the place winners, a special thanks to the staff at the fishing center, and a huge thank you to Mark & Bob for their consistently good job handling the weigh-in's.
Posted 14 March 2010- Our 2010 season got off to a fantastic start. The turnout was great and it was nice seeing the old faces and meeting the new members. The air temps were in high 50's, the water temps about the same, with the water clarity being stained. Most found the fishing to be real tough and even those with a limit reported a last minute catch to complete their sack. One team however, Dale & Todd, figured out their pattern mid morning. They had an impressive 13.6 lbs (5 fish) to claim 1st place. Sid & Jeff finished second with 10.10 lbs (4 fish). Sid caught the lunker, 4.2 lbs with minutes to go and said that was his only fish of the day. Third place went to Mark & Shooter with 9.4 lbs (5 fish). Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, rattletraps, jigs, and plastics were the baits of choice. Congrats to all the place winners! A special thanks to Mark for running a great tournament, he had all the basis covered. Thanks Mark!

Posted 21 Nov 2009- The 2010 schedule is posted and the club rules have been updated. Club membership forms will be mailed before Dec. 15th, please do not send any membership fees until you receive and complete the forms. If I do not have your mailing address please email me your mailing address. 2010 should be our biggest and best year ever. We have received many inquires from new members who plan to join. Looking forward to a great season! Posted 21 Nov 2009- We paid the top four places at our club classic. Congrats to Sean & Chris Vitovich for taking 1st place. Dennis Padgett & Richie Akers finished 2nd, Jim Leavis & Tom Covington placed third, Robert Stamey & Jeff Bobbitt placed forth.
Posted 14 Sept 2009- Well, our Sept. 12th tourney on the North River proved to be the toughest fishing of the season. The water went from extreme low to almost normal pool overnight, this made for a tough day on the water. The weather was beautiful and we still managed to have a good time. We had no limits and only one team had four fish. Dennis Padgett & Richie Akers took first and big fish 13.6 lbs & 4.12 lbs. Chris & Sean Vitovich finished second with 7.14 lbs. Jim Leavis & Tom Convington took third with 6.7 lbs. While we still have our classic to fish on the Nottoway in October, this concluded our 2009 regular season. Dennis & Richie finished first in the team competition, Kevin Mills & Rex Shell placed second, while Sid Ryan & Jeff Smith took third. Kenny Lale's 8.2 lb fish, caught in March, held up throughout the season for Lunker of the Year. Thanks to everyone for a great season & congrats to all the place winners! Posted 10 Aug 2009- We had 16 teams fish our August tourney on the Chick. We had six limits brought to the scales while four teams did not weigh. First place with 12.2 lbs went to Sid Ryan & Jeff Smith, they also won the lunker tie-breaker with their 2.14 pounder. The team of Kenny Lale & Bruce Talyor tied for second place with Daryl Johnson & Pete Lorsong both with 9.4 pounds. Kevin Mills & Rex Shell took over first place in the team title chase. Congrats to Sid & Jeff for their win.
