BBBAC Tournament Rules: 1. All two man teams that show up and pay the twenty dollar ($20) entry fee, ten ($10) dollars if fishing solo, can fish our tournaments. 2. Guest anglers will be required to pay an additional $10 fee per event. 3. All participants must be at least eighteen years old, unless fishing with a parental guardian. 4. Limit two (2) anglers per boat. 5. All boaters are to maintain required boating safety equipment. Reckless or unsafe boating is grounds for termination from club events. 6. All participants are to possess a current Virginia and NC (if applicable) freshwater fishing license. 7. Five (5) bass limit per boat. Twelve (12) inch minimum length limit. Fish that do not meet the minimum length limit will not be weighed, and the team will be assessed a four (4) ounce penalty per fish. 8. A four ounce (4) penalty will be assessed for each dead fish at weigh-in. A dead fish is defined as any fish that is unable to swim off on its own after weigh-in. Anglers will be given ample time to try and revive the fish before being penalized. 9. All boats must be equipped with a livewell. The livewell must have a working aeration system. It can be part of the boat or made from a cooler. All livewell's will be inspected prior to blast off. Stringers or buckets are to be used in emergency situations only. That is, your livewell malfunctions during competition. 10. All participates are to use artificial baits only. No live bait on board during club tournaments. 11. All tournaments will begin at sunrise. 12. Boaters not arriving back to the finish line by weigh-in time, will be assessed a 1/2 pound penalty for every minute they are late. Those ten minutes or more late will be disqualified. Arriving back at the finish line is defined as, your boat being beached or on your trailer at the launch location. Your watches must be synchronized with the tournament director. 13. No boater is to fish within 25 feet of another boat. 14. Landing nets are permitted. 15. Only one rod and reel, per angler, in use at all times. No trolling allowed. 16. Half of the prize money will be awarded to the individual who catches the lunker bass. The other half of the prize money will be awarded to the team with the most weight. Ties will be broken by the big fish. It is up to the team members to decide how they wish to split the money. 17. No refunds of entry fees will be returned once the tournament begins, unless a tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather. 18. To qualify for the Top Team Awards and October Club Classic, your team must fish in at least four of the club's second Saturday tournaments. 19. The tournaments held on the second Saturday of each month are designated as our official monthly tournament. Only these tournaments will count towards team standings. The tournaments held the forth Saturday of the month are "optional" open to members and non-members and for cash only. We will payout 80% of the pot and retain 20% for our annual year end party. 20. Once the tournament season begins, if a "Team Member" fishes a tournament with another "Team Member", only one team will receive the team weight from that given tournament. This is for isolated situations like a members boat being out of commission for a given tournament. 21. If two members decide to partner up after the season is under way, the newly established team will be required to take the lesser of the two teams total weights. Teams cannot partner up after the forth official club tournament has been completed. 22. Only teams (both anglers) that have fished in at least four of our official club tournaments are eligible to fish in our club classic. Teams entering the classic must have established themselves as a team during the tournament season. 23. Teams are allowed guest anglers for up to two tournaments per season. 24. Members are not allowed to enter into a tournament with a non-participant on board. 25. Teams bringing more than five fish to the weigh-in will be disqualified and their catch will not count towards the team standings. 26. In case of inclement weather or emergencies, call Robert 287-7333 or Daryl 515-1325 .
